This calendar looked great at first. The visual design is really good, both on the website and dashboard. However, lacking function and code bugs prevented us from using it. First, the repeat function does not allow monthly on the first occurrence of a particular day (e.g. - 3rd Monday every month), which leaves it terribly lacking. The upcoming events widget does not work correctly with repeating events “outweighing” single events, which don’t display at all. Printing the calendar is difficult at best, having to create a custom print css and/or shrinking the size to < 50% in the browser (both Firefox and IE). Display with a “mobile ready” theme on a mobile phone results in the right half of the calendar truncated and no way the user can scroll right to see it.
I do actually think this plugin has “potential”, with a Dashboard event interface that is unrivaled. If the developer would fix the problems listed above, I would give it a 5. But it is far from ready for a prime time website now. Furthermore, the developer is an individual who does not seem to have the time to resolve these issues, many of which were reported years ago (do a search to see for yourself). We gave up on this calendar and went with All In One Event Calendar, which is better in many ways, has all the function we need, is not buggy like Ajax Event Calendar and has much better support from the developers.
